Button Rose sniffed and
sniffed. There were so many delightful smells
in the air today! Ripe berries, fresh
clover, and green mint leaves!
Little Button Rose was
headed over to Grandma Anna’s garden to gather some bits of shells and pick
some flowers and herbs.
Grandma Anna was the
farmer’s wife, and she kept a special garden just for the local rabbits. Button Rose was very thankful for Grandma
Anna.
On her way to the Garden,
Button Rose saw several butterflies flitting on the wind here and there. They looked so graceful as they floated on
the air.
Button Rose stopped for a moment
and just watched one. She thought of the
amazing process that a caterpillar went through to become a butterfly.
What a change!
Button Rose thought for a
moment… Just like a caterpillar changes into the completely new form of a
butterfly, when a person trusts in Jesus as their Savior and Lord, he or she
becomes a new creature, and they receive a new heart.
Button Rose was in
complete awe for a moment.
After a long pause filled
with her deep thoughts, Button Rose started off again along her path and
finished her hop to Grandma Anna’s garden.
She had a lovely time in
the peaceful garden, gathering lovely shell bits to trade with and flowers and
herbs for her table.
On the way home, Button
Rose thought again of how blessed people are to have Jesus.
“Dear God,” Little Button
Rose prayed. “Thank You for Your Son,
Jesus. You are an awesome Creator, and
You spoke this whole world into being.
“You are Awesome, Dear
God! I love You with my little bunny
heart. Thank You for making me, and
please use me every day for Your glory.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
That night, Button Rose
slept very well.
She dreamed that she too—
Was made new.

Has Jesus made you new?
Call on Him today,
For He is the Way, the
Life, the Truth.
(John 14:6)
